Arthouse Apartments has made its mark on the Joondalup City Centre skyline, with the tallest building in town anticipated to be the new watermark for development in the area.

The recently completed 17-storey building has been making an impact on the local real estate market, launching with less than 30 per cent of the apartments still available.

Joondalup Mayor Albert Jacob said the completion of works at Arthouse Apartments was a defining moment for the Joondalup City Centre.

“Since ground was broken, we’ve watched with keen interest as Joondalup’s tallest building – so far – has risen to great heights,” he said.

“And I say ‘so far’ because now that it’s standing proud as part of the redefined Joondalup skyline, we’d certainly love to bring more high-quality, high-rise developments like Arthouse to the Joondalup City Centre.

“This state-of-the-art building will deliver a critical mass of new residences and businesses that will further enhance Joondalup’s vitality and vibrancy.”

Edge Visionary Living Managing Director Gavin Hawkins said since the scaffolding came down in June they had seen immense interest, as buyers started to visualise what their life at Arthouse might look like.

“The inner-city location, together with the city’s rich cultural fabric, is very appealing,” he said.

“We are seeing a period of positive sentiment in the Perth residential market, which together with a lack of existing housing stock currently on the market in the northern suburbs, has seen Arthouse sales soar, with 14 sales in the past month alone.

“Proximity to conveniences, public transport networks and natural amenity continues to see enquiries flood in from buyers looking for a new home that brings opportunities for activity and community engagement.”

Mr Hawkins said the development had a high proportion of owner-occupiers which meant residents could look forward to enjoying a vibrant community atmosphere.

With Arthouse now complete, potential buyers can tour the building and enjoy the panoramic vistas on offer, including views of Joondalup Lake, the Perth CBD and out to the ocean.

“It is always exciting to reach this point in a project, but particularly when it is the first of its kind in the area and has been embraced with so much community positivity,” Mr Hawkins said.

Arthouse required 8000 cubic metres of concrete, 1100 tonnes of steel, 550 pre-cast panels and 52,000 builder hours to complete.

Designed by Hillam Architects and built by PACT Construction, Arthouse consists of 162 one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

Residents enjoy access to a range of resort-style amenities, including a heated lap pool and spa, an alfresco barbecue and dining area, a games room, a sauna, a gym, an outdoor cinema and a residents’ dining room and caterers’ kitchen.

Floor-to-ceiling windows capture panoramic views, while the premium fit-out includes stone benchtops, air-conditioning and European appliances.
