The builders of Bob Hawke College have won a major construction award.
PACT Construction took out the best education building valued from $50 million to $100 million at this year’s Master Builders 2020 Excellence in Construction Awards.
The company built the $55 million Subiaco secondary school ahead of schedule last year, ready for its 2020 opening.
General manager Jason Thomson said he was proud of his team, with more than 3000 workers helping to create the school campus over 17 months.
“We were up against some tough competition in this category, like Hammond Park Secondary College and the UWA Ezone Student Hub,” he said.
The school was designed by Bateman Architects and T&Z Architect and is split across five sectors of two and three level buildings.
